Welcome to Sprayz of Sunshine!

My name is Tracy, I am the founder of Sprayz of Sunshine.

A little bit about me....I am a native Houstonian girl who loves the sun; I guess you could say I am a sun worshiper from way back. I have always loved being in the sun whether it was in my backyard, by the pool, at the beach, fishing or water skiing.

In the 80's I started tanning in tanning beds, it was the latest and greatest. It was easy, quick and convenient, especially for me, a working mom on the go. I loved the results I could get in 10-20 minutes depending on the bed I used. I loved the tanning bed concept so much,

I decided to open SunRayz Tanning Salon in the late 90's.

 One of the perks of being the owner was I could tan everyday....and I DID!!!

Then I noticed a spot on my back which lead me to the dermatologist office.

After a biopsy, I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma then a surgery to remove. Not fun!

Well, being the sun worshiper that I am, I decided to pursue a healthier way to get my golden glow.

In the early 2000's automated spray tanning booths became very popular.

So, I decided to give them a try but I wasn't happy with the results.

So this sun worshiping girl was back out in the natural sun.

In 2006 a friend told me about sunless spray tanning, also known as airbrushing.

I decided to give it a try and I LOVED IT! 

Of course, this made my dermatologist VERY happy.

While I was impressed with the airbrush technique and the results,

I didn't care for the particular solution that was used or it's smell. 

So what lead this native Houstonian, sun worshiping girl to opening Sprayz of Sunshine?

Well...being an entrepreneur at heart, a lover of the sun,

a fan of being tanned and my experience with Basal Cell Carcinoma,

an airbrush tanning business was the next logical step for me.

In my quest to learn ABOUT sunless spray tanning and HOW to apply, I attended an extensive training course where I received one on one training which included spraying of the clients. 

I received my certification as a spray tanning artist through the Association of Tanning Professionals.

 I also learned about solutions and in doing so, I found the perfect tanning solution for

ALL skin tones that looks natural and smells great.

My #1 goal is to provide you with great customer service, a comfortable and relaxed

atmosphere, a custom spray tan designed just for you with an overall awesome experience.
